Before Your Appointment

Pain Relief

We do not advise using any topical pain relief that is not approved by the FDA or a physician. Some numbing products can cause temporary changes to the outer layers of skin, which can affect the final outcome of the tattoo.

Do not use over the counter painkillers, prescription painkillers, alcohol, or other drugs before or during your tattoo. They will cause an increase in bleeding

Eat Beforehand

Make sure you eat something wholesome and carbohydrate-based before leaving for the studio. This will keep your blood sugar levels elevated for the next few hours. Eating a well balanced meal beforehand will also help to keep you feeling alert.

Dress Comfortably

Wear clothing that allows easy access to the area that you would like to be tattooed. We also suggest wearing loose clothing on or near the areas that will be exposed to the newly tattooed skin to avoid rubbing / uncomfortability.

Don’t Shave The Tattoo Area

If your skin needs to be shaved, your artist will do it for you.
